Alcala-Alcossebre Council encourages using a bike by installing 20 bike racks in different places in the town centres

Alcala-Alcossebre Council has installed 20 bike rack units in different places in the urban centres.  The new bike racks have been situated in school areas, sports areas and areas used a lot by tourists because of their tourist interest, such as the Church square, the sea front promenade, the Calvary, the Sant Antoni hermitage, the Santa Lucía hermitage and areas near the beaches or in the urban centre.

This action is part of the municipal strategy to favour the use of alternative vehicles, such as are considered in the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan.  “The objective is to facilitate bicycle parking when travelling through the municipality and increasing their use”, Mayor Francisco Juan said.
