Alcala-Alcossebre Council has awarded assistance to 170 local businesses, which translates into 299,900 euros within the Resistir Plan’s Paréntesis Assistance, with funds from the Valencian Generalitat, the Provincial Diputación and the Council.
This assistance corresponds to the two phases of the announcement, aimed at micro-businesses and the self-employed affected by restrictions to activity due to the measures against COVID-19. In a first announcement, the assistance was destined to the financial activities most affected by the restrictions. Whilst, in the second announcement, it was increased to businesses affected by having to close their business at 18.00h.
Alcala-Alcossebre counted on 337,000 euros as provision for the Paréntesis Assistance so therefore this has resulted in a balance of 37,109. At the meeting held on 2nd June, it was approved that this will be distributed between the 170 businesses which took part in the calling, and this will mean an extra 218 euros of assistance per business or self-employed person.
The head of Treasury, María Agut, emphasised “the speed and diligence with which it has been possible for the Council to deal with this assistance. We wanted to end all the dealings and pay them before the summer and we have accomplished this”.
