Alcala-Alcossebre Council is working on securing the Local Plan for management of Domestic Waste, in order to comply with the new Valencian Community’s Integral Plan for Waste (PIR) on domestic waste and waste which can be assimilated. For this, the council meeting approved joining the technical supervision for preparing this type of plan which the Castellón Diputación offers to municipalities with less than 10,000 inhabitants.
Mayor Francisco Juan emphasised that “thanks to this deal, the Council will not have to take on the cost of drawing up this plan and it will enable us to continue adding tools for the correct management of waste”. The locality had already been a pioneering municipality in installing intelligent containers for organic material in 2015.
