“Summer Outside” (“Estiu a la Fresca”) returns to Alcala de Xivert
The Fiestas Department recovers this initiative by occupying different places in central Alcala to become the scenario for musical events, magic shows and monologues on Saturday nights

Alcala de Xivert will again be celebrating “Summer Outside 2021”, for its fifth year, following the obligatory sudden stop caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. “Summer Outside” schedules a total of seven shows in different parts of central Alcala, making them stages for musical events, magic shows and monologues on Saturdays at 23.00h. All the events will be held with the audience totally seated, with a limited number and respecting the safety measures in the health protocols at all times. From the Council, suitable seats will be available for the public and it will not be necessary to have a ticket or book. All the events will be at 23.00h. Fiestas councillor, Jordi Batiste, explained that “this initiative provides a festive and leisure alternative for the residents of Alcala during the summer, as well as incentivising hospitality activity throughout the town as each Saturday it is focused on a different area”.
“Summer Outside 2021” starts on 3rd July with music by Grupo Onda in the Juan Vilanova square.
The Mago Nebur show will be held on 10th July, in the calle Doctor Seguer.
The musical show “Mayte Carreras: de cap a peus” will be held on 17th July in the calle Francisco Sospedra
“La Noche de Boleros con Sara Canciller” on 24th July, in the plaza de la Iglesia,
On 31st July, and as part of the Capicorb Fiestas, a monologue by Manolo Carrascosa.
On 7th August, along the paseo Héroes de Marruecos, espectáculo Varietres.
On 14th August, in la calle General Cucala, a performance by the Pop Ladies.
Batiste explained that “in other years, we limited ourselves to popular dances. This year, due to the pandemic, we are prevented from holding this sort of event so we have opted for very different shows which can please audiences of all ages”.
