The Alcalà de Xivert-Alcossebre PSPV-PSOE celebrates the 1.3 million euros investment in the municipality from the Generalitat and the Diputación for social services matters up to 2024 The socialist spokesperson, Joan Ronchera, explained that “the programme-contracts which the two bodies signed with the Council are a very useful tool, given that they give us financial stability”.
The Generalitat Valenciana will make an investment of 672,230 euros with which it will finance the self-employment promotion service for people with functional diversity, aimed at the general population at any moment of the life cycle, the community action service, which includes equality and inclusion programmes for migrant people, gipsy communities and LGBTI among others, and the specific service for attending to infants and adolescents.
For their part, the Castellón Diputación will invest 668,319 euros to finance the men and women working in social services both in social intervention (social worker, psychologists, educators, coordinators) as well as legal and administration, the social emergency financial loans for vulnerable people, the help with energy poverty and the home help service. 10% of the amount has to be added from the Council’s fund, adds the socialist spokesperson.
The Municipal Socialist Group is satisfied with the agreement with the two provincial and autonomous institutions, both headed by socialists. “It is very beneficial for the men and women of Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre, given that we know how much resource we shall receive from each institution during each year and for what purposes, and those which will improve the quality of life for the town’s inhabitants”, Joan Ronchera explained.
