The Tourism Department of the Alcala-Alcossebre Council has started a new campaign promoting the municipality as a tourist destination. The initiative was announced on 26th July at a press conference and, as the Tourism leader Selene Blázquez emphasised, “this year the immediate objective of the campaign “Alcala-Alcossebre, Vuelve a Sentirlo” is not directly to attract visitors to our municipality but to thank all those who at any time in their lives have visited us and enjoyed our beaches, landscapes and our moments, in fact, the magic of Alcala-Alcossebre”. Although in the complicated situation with the health pandemic, the tourist occupation figures gathered in 2020 and those we are seeing in 2021 (in July they were standing at 74%) show that the visitors like the locality for their holidays and that it offers all the safety guarantees. Another figure which has driven the rolling out of this campaign of thanks was to test the good reputation which the municipality enjoys as a tourist destination. In this way, the different surveys carried out during the preparation of the 2021-2024 Strategic Tourism Plan proved positively that it was very valuable gathering answers to questions about contact with nature, the extension of the beaches and, definitely that “we are a municipality which is considered to be calm and enjoyed by families, a little paradise which we share with all those who visit us and which we hope they regard as their own”, the councillor emphasised.
The campaign will be present on different promotional supports: publicity boards and posters, campaigns in the written press, radio slots and spots on television. The presence on social media will be carried out through the official channels of Turismo Alcala-Alcossebre on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. Also, the main campaign spot, lasting five minutes, will be able to be seen on the Council social media networks, the municipal YouTube channel, and will be shown on screen in the Alcossebre summer cinemas, at the 22.15h sessions at the beginning of August and during the patronal fiestas.
