The Alcala de Xivert Santa Lucia Ethnological Information Centre (CIE) has consolidated itself as a first-class museum resource, with the increase in the number of people visiting it during recent months.  In fact, from June to September this year, there were 4,410 visitors which is 962 more when compared with the same period in 2020.
As can be imagined, the greatest number of visitors was in August with a total of 2004, of whom 1767 were Spanish and the rest international.
The Santa Lucia CIE was opened in December 2019 and has an exhibition area in which the are reproductions of the most relevant different archaeological remains found during the successive excavation campaigns carried out in the area.  They date from the Bronze Age, the Iron Age and the Islamic era.  There are also models of how the populations were located.  Explanatory panels and a video complete the information.
Culture councillor, María Agut, emphasised “the positive impact of this cultural resource, showing the value of our history and origins”.
