Alcala-Alcossebre Council is carrying out a wide range of accessibility improvements in sections of pavements for pedestrians.  The work consists of removing architectural barriers, removing kerbs and lowering the existing pavement level, with paving according to the regulations in force.  In fact, they are working on a total surface of 132 metres, on pavements situated in the Avenida del Ferrocarril and Paseo Héroes de Marruecos in Alcala and in the Avenida de Castellón, calle La Mola and calle Aljub in Alcossebre.

The work costs 25,000 euros, of which 22,000 are included in the Diputación Provincial Plan for Provincial Cooperation in Works and Services.

Town Planning councillor, Miguel Martorell, has indicated that “we are already constantly carrying out actions to improve accessibility, with works of greater extent, as in this case, as each time the work is carried out to improve services.  Our objective is to achieve a more and more accessible municipality, adapted for mobility”.
