Corpus Christi brings hundreds of residents together in Alcala de Xivert

Hundreds of the town’s population, and in particular the children who have taken their first Communion this year in Alcala and Alcossebre, took part in one of the most important of those religious ceremonies which are held in the town, Corpus Christi.
The twenty-three Communion children, accompanied by their parents and relatives, were together in the Alcala Church of St. John the Baptist to attend and take part in the ceremony with local parish priest Mossen Carlos officiating.
Mayor Francisco Juan and almost all the town council were also present at the ceremony which also attracted hundreds of residents into the main streets in the centre of Alcala.
