The first Nicolas Quintero Ortega Tournament takes place in Alcossebre
Nico’s parents received a commemorative plaque at this first tournament in memory of their son, who was so loved and remembered in the town.

On the 16th
and 17th June, the Alcossebre football ground was the scene of the
First Tournament in memory of Nicolas Quintero Ortega.
On the Saturday,
the young players’ group was won by the Torreblanca CF, with Benicarló Base
Fútbol second, CF Alcala third and CE Alcossebre 4th.
The competition
for the youngest players took place on Sunday with an exciting final between
the Torreblanca and Benicarlo teams, which ended with Benicarló Base Fútbol 1st,
Torreblanca CF 2nd, CE Alcossebre 3rd and CF Alcala 4th.
During the prize
giving, which was presided over by the mayor, Francisco Juan Mars, and the
Sports councillor, Juanba Herrera, Nico’s parents received a plaque marking
this first commemorative tournament in memory of their son, who was loved so
much and remembered in the town.
