The La Dorada Fishing Club holds its annual dinner
On Saturday, 3rd December, the La Dorada Fishing Club held their annual dinner. It is at this event that all the group’s members receive their prizes, and they announce the various places members have obtained in the competitions held during this year’s season.
The club’s Chairman, Olivier Herrera, emphasised that it is young people who are most important for the club. “Our efforts to encourage them during the whole season are really valuable”, Herrera explained.
Joanba Herrera and Ricardo Aguilar, head of sports and Alcossebre deputy mayor respectively, took advantage of the occasion to praise the club for its extraordinary result in the world fishing championship held in Oropesa. They then presented the members of the team which had come third in this competition with models of the Bell Tower.
They also congratulated the La Dorada club and its members for the great work they are carrying out.
Among the next interesting dates which the La Dorada club have organised, the 18th December is worth mentioning. This is when they will hold the traditional Christmas competition for their members.
