Open doors day in the Alcossebre Medical Centre during the first day of Health Week
English residents have donated a set of tables and chairs for the children who attend the medical centre.
Monday, 3rd June, the first open doors day in the Alcossebre Medical Centre as part of the Health Week being held in the municipality until the 8th June.
The new facilities had been open to patients for only a few days, with the improvement work carried out by a local company in line with the policy of increasing employment and commercial activity initiated by the current council, presided over by mayor Francisco Juan Mars.
“It is the case of carrying out another important project as this part of the building had become obsolete and the aim was to restore it to turn it into new areas for consulting rooms or for the staff to stay in conditions which are worthy of them when they are on duty”, the mayor explained.
Francisco Juan Mars added that “This all gives people in the Alcossebre coastal nucleus a better health service.
During this open doors day, members of the council took part as well as a large number of residents and representatives from local associations. There was also a large attendance of English residents belonging to the Anglican Church and the Charity Shop, who had jointly donated some tables and chairs for the youngest children to enjoy whilst they are waiting to see the doctor.
