Alcossebre will welcome its first Triathlon

The coast of Alcossebre will be the scene for the first time in its history of a triathlon, according to sources from the event organisers. It will be held on 28th July from 09:30h, when the first stage will set out for the swimming test.
Competitors will have to swim 750 metres along a course marked by three buoys, and will then have to carry out the cycling test, in which the triathletes will ride four times around a 6.3 km circuit, to complete 25 kms. The circuit level differences during the test will be + 90 metres.
The last of the three tests will be athletics, during which the runners will face a distance of 7 kms along the Paseo Marítimo and the path to the lighthouse.
The organisers have indicated that the athletes will be given liquid refreshments during the run to the lighthouse.
Applications to take part in the Triathlon are already being accepted.
Enrolment:
From 11th June to 27th July, the enrolment fee is 25 euros.
Participants who do not belong to the Federation will have to have a day licence (12 euros). This can be obtained during the enrolment process at the Federación Valenciana de Triatlón web site.
Enrolment can be made online at the Federación Valenciana de Triatlón.
The fee can be transferred to the current account at BANKIA 2038-6555-51-3000316694 putting: SPRINT+, as the recipient, your DNI or other identity reference, surname, name and attaching the receipt for the transfer in the process of enrolment.
