New route for the Alcossebre Carnival procession requested by those taking part

The suggestion was made to the Council at a planning meeting held with the participating groups

[Img #54471]Following acceptance of the idea by the Alcala-Alcossebre Council, the Alcossebre Carnival procession will have a new route.  At a meeting held last Friday, the suggestion was put forward unanimously by the groups taking part in the Carnival.  So the route on 4th March, starting at 22:00 hours, will start in Avenida Blasco Ibáñez, Avenida Valencia, calle Alcalà, calle Rench, calle Barquer, camino L’Atall, plaza Constitución, calle Sant Benet, Avenida Valencia, Avenida Blasco Ibáñez.  The floats will gather in the calle La Parra.  The Local Police have evaluated the proposal and have decided that there are no additional problems and that it could turn out to have a positive result.

During the meeting, various matters of interest were dealt with concerning the coordination of those participating in the processions in both Alcala and Alcossebre and they were reminded that they must respect compliance with the different restrictions imposed by autonomous and state regulations on the celebration of spectacles.  Carnival will be celebrated in Alcala on the 24th, 25th and 26th February and in Alcossebre on the 3rd and 4th March.  Printed programmes are already available from the Council and Municipal Offices or can be downloaded in PDF format from the municipal web site using the link:
