The Socialist group reports that the poor autonomous financing by Rajoy punishes Alcala by 2.41 million euros each year

The municipal PSPV-PSOE spokesperson, Joan Ronchera, asks Francisco Juan Mars to attend the demonstration on 18th November in Valencia to demand fair financing from Rajoy

The municipal Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre PSPV-PSOE spokesperson, Joan Rochera, has asked the mayor, Francisco Juan Mars, of the Partido Popular, to put himself on the side of the Govern del Botanic to demand fair financing for the Valenciana Community because “the current financing model is outdated and the results in being is unfair for towns in Valencia, which does us great harm”.

And according to what it has been possible to find out thanks to the #NiMésNiMenys campaign set out a few weeks ago by the PSPV-PSOE, if the state financing model was fair, the Spanish Government would transfer 350€ more per Valencian each year, which in municipalities such as Alcala de Xivert-Alcossebre would mean a figure of 2.41 million euros more, and “which should go to the Generalitat for investment in more social policies and infrastructures which would assist us considerably to improve the quality of life for people living in our town”.

Ronchera indicated that “it is clear that the Valencian Country urgently needs to be well financed” and therefore, “we urge the mayor of Alcala to resolutely support the Consell and all the social and business groups in their demands and to put these before the leaders of his own party”.  Moreover, “I believe that our mayor should attend the demonstration which will be held in Valencia on 18th November to demand the fair financing this land needs”.
